Hi, I’m Tara.
What started as a break from music led me to a passion I never expected — glass art. After studying music at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, I found myself burnt out by the pressures of the industry and in need of a fresh start. I began working in a glass shop, where I helped with repairs, assisted visiting artists, and took the occasional commission. What started as a break soon blossomed into a deep passion for the art of glass.
I learned so much during my time at the glass shop, and although glass was just a hobby for several years after I left the shop, I continued to explore it while working as a chiropractic assistant to make ends meet. The turning point came when I got my first big break teaching in the Lifelong Learning program at the University of Utah. This opportunity reignited my love for glass art, and I embraced it fully.
Now, I’m developing a glass program at Muddie Buddies Pottery Studio in Bountiful Utah. As I build the program, I’m working to grow a community of glass artists and inspire others to explore their own artistic potential.
